I’ve wanted to work on making games for the longest time. Procrastination has stopped me in my tracks many times.
Not this year.
I’ve worked with the software in its previous version but have no experience with the completely new rewrite. It may make more sense to take this opportunity to learn Unity 3D since I’m also learning C#, but something about GameMaker calls to me. Perhaps its the low barrier to entry. Perhaps I’m just too scared to use C# as a development language yet. Regardless I’ve chosen to go forward with this engine. An engine that has been used to create games such as Hyper Light Drifter, Nidhogg, Hotline Miami, Spelunky and Nuclear Throne.
In the coming months, I’ll be following along to a series of tutorials from amazing GM ambassadors.
